IMOVIE
For iMovie, I followed the same technique downloading the footage from the filming \which we filmed on the Canon 5D Mark II with the 17-40mm f/4 L. We then selected this from the iMovie library and selected the section of the video we wanted to include and added it to the video. We already had the audio from the draft music video so we simply added this and removed the audio from the individual clips and cut it accordingly. We did decide to have an opening screen for this I overlaid the title choosing the Seravek Bold font as I felt this was similar to my ancillary products so presents continuality as well as the fact the bold white font stands out clearly against the stained glass window design. This was also done at the end of the video having text on the bottom of the screen in the Gill Sans Boldfont which was fairly similar to
the text on the title screen. I then added a
copyright ‘C’ logoin which I selected the
‘picture in picture’ option for the end screen
following a convention used my many real
media products. Another element I used was
the use of transitions using the cross dissolve
inbetween all of my clips apart from at the
end which faded to black as this made our
video flow better especially due to the fact
we havedancers and the cut edits in our
audience feedback were seen as fairly
‘harsh’ and wefelt this effect gave a more
established professional and effective aspect
of our media product.
